Genny Small
Founder & President, Workshop Facilitator
A breast cancer survivor diagnosed in her third trimester before the birth of her 8th child in 2014. Genny created the workshop curriculum that is at the heart of Overcomers. “Rise when you think you can’t, crawl if you can’t walk, and try even if you think you’ll fail.”

Jessica Meyers
Co-Founder & Vice President
Diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive breast cancer in December 2014. Jessica partners with Genny to help women address the emotional, mental, and spiritual impacts of surviving cancer.

Kristi Quadrato
Secretary-Treasurer and Director of MetaSisters
Diagnosed in the fall of 2018. After finding healing through the nine-week workshop, Kristi now serves on the leadership team.

Rebecca Osborne
Ministry Support Director and Pink Under the Tree Director
Diagnosed in December 2016 at age 45. A church leader who has worked with young women for decades and serves as a small-group facilitator.

Alexander Small
Technology Head
A Net+ certified specialist in website development and online marketing. With five years volunteering, he manages the website, event support, and social media.

Jennifer Nicole Smith
Stage 3 ductal carcinoma in June 2017; double mastectomy, 16 rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation. “This organization has provided support and tools I desperately needed.”

Nohemi Mendez
A Stage 2 Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma survivor who uses faith-based recovery to play a role in someone else’s healing.

Elva Hinojosa Casso
Diagnosed at 31 with triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma. After 14 rounds of chemotherapy, a mastectomy, 25 rounds of radiation, and immunotherapy, she is now cancer-free.

Valorie Hulme
Stage 1 Her2 positive diagnosis in November 2017 and a brain malformation survivor. “I was called to be an encourager.”

Janet Chavarria
Stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis in October 2021; spine surgery, radiation, and ongoing treatment. “With God’s grace I was able to overcome.”

Nevetta King
Stage 2 diagnosis in December 2021. She attended her first retreat before 30 radiation treatments. “I knew I had found my tribe.”

Lori McIntyre
A 30-year Navy veteran who lost her mother and sister to breast cancer within four months. Diagnosed with rare Paget’s Disease, she found Overcomers in 2019.

Rebecca Parsons
Stage 2 ductal carcinoma in November 2021; chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, surgery, radiation, and reconstruction. “I found my tribe.”

Noella Rivers
HR+, Her2- diagnosis on March 31, 2023. Retired military, a foster care provider, and adoptive mother of five who joined the nine-week workshop and the fall 2023 retreat.

Shawna Rosario
Triple-negative diagnosis in February 2014. A mother of five and stepmother to two who attended the workshop and retreat in fall 2023.

Sheri Kasper
Breast cancer diagnosis in spring 2013. A single mother who found an Overcomers pamphlet in 2016 and recently reached her 10-year cancer-free anniversary.
